Zumo 660: cannot install the new Europe (total) map on its 32 Gb SD card?

hi there

got the well known message 'new map available' but ran into some trouble when connecting the device to Express 7.11.1.0;  keep getting the same error msg 'not enough space to install the new map'

how so? there's an internal 32 Gb SD card with plenty of free space (29.4 Gb) ? and i've done this many times before without any issues?

thanks for any hints/solutions!

    Is the card formatted FAT32? In any case I'd try a reformat of the card and then check the available space. If you have another card try that. I assume you can see the card in Windows Explorer?

    thank you! yes, card can be seen in Windows explorer when i connect the Z660 to my pc no problem; so i've reformatted it (FAT32) and checked the available space = 29.4 Gb, then disconnected & reconnected the device to my pc > card recognised by WE > started Express again: i do not have another choice than to choose only a part of the map because again Express says 'update is too large to fit on device' so again the card is being ignored?? 'i've never had that problem in the past (= all past updates since purchase some 8 years ago) bottom line: Express just ignores the card... any suggestions? thx again!
