My Zumo 395LM maps are corrupt and connot be used?

Hello

I updated my maps, Canada and the boarder states and now it says upon start up that the Maps are corrupt and can not be used. I was instructed to use a micro sd card which I did twice with two different cards, one of them being brand new from the package. Both of sufficient sizes. It says to Go to www.garmin.com/express to download the latest maps. Which I have done a few times. And it all goes well until I turn on the unit and it gives me that message. I can use the unit but it does seem like the graphics are slow and low res. But that might just be my wrong expectations compared to google maps on my iphone.

  • Corruption normally occurs if a device is disconnected while the update is still in progress. First remove the card, do you still get the message? If so the corrupted map is on the device and needs to be removed. If no message then reformat the cards FAT32, and use Express to reinstall the map. Ensure you do a safe eject after Express reports the update complete.
