Garmin 64st and New SD card formatting

Hello Everyone

This is not a question but an add to the forum to HELP anyone who struggles with the 64st and adding a new SD card.

One of the requirements of adding the LAME 32GB SD card is to format it windows according to Garmin's these instructions.

Well, Windows 10 causes an issue (not really a problem) after the formatting. You can recognize this issue by going to basecamp and visually see the SD folder created (User..something) but when disconnected  the 64st, then going to setup, maps you dont SEE your new maps or anything.

So heres the issue. When formatting with the SD card via the device when connected, windows 10 recognizes the Internal Memory as a Primary partition and creates the SD as a Logical partition.

The Garmin 64st only recognizes Primary partitions.

So save yourself a headache and wasted time from reaching out to support (they are good people but i dont think they realize the issue until now) and bypass the "Quick," format and use the device manager and make it a Primary (SD) drive.
