Map updates extremely slow

I have been trying to update maps on my Garmin. The download speed is insanely slow. Time of up to 23 hrs and I have fibre at 650 Mps download.

Garmin needs to upgrade their servers and connections. Also, their database architecture.

Hello 4276728 - I have been struggling with a similar problem (see my very long post "SLOW map downloads - what IS the solution?"

I have gone around in circles but still no clear answers. To be honest, it doesn't appear to be a Garmin issue BUT there is something funky going on with their software on my Windows 10 environment.

Maybe I can help you by comparing notes.

Are you trying to update maps on your PC (Mac ?), just your GPS, or both?
