Since having a new Lenovo PC, the Garmin Express software is not starting anymore. In my old Hewlett Packard PC it's still running perfectly.
After installation and start, the Garmin splash image appears on screen, the mouse pointer rotates and that's it. The Express software doesn't start.
I tried already all steps recommended in the Garmin support site [Garmin Express Fails to Launch or Open on a Windows Computer | Garmin Express | Garmin Support]:
Select on the Steps Below for Instructions to Resolve These Errors:
- Ensure that the latest version of Garmin Express is installed
- Run Garmin Express as an administrator
- Ensure Garmin Express Permissions are Allowed
- Delete the Garmin Express configuration files
- Install the latest Microsoft Windows updates
- Force Close Garmin Express in Task Manager
- Uninstall Garmin Express, Restart the Computer, and Reinstall Garmin Express
But still unable to open Garmin Express!
I contacted also Garmin's Product Support and exchanged different log files with them. Finally, they told me that a file called "legacyio.dll" was not updated during installation and that I had to contact a certified Microsoft technician for that.
Sorry, I think that's too much!
Perhaps, someone here in the community can help? I would be very greatfull for help, since I need this software to upload music to my Garmin Forerunner 945 LTE.
