From the factory, the Garmin showed icons for Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, and Denny's. After update it no longer does. What up? Thanks.

Or perhaps Foursquare dB (map / layer) got lost during botched update?
What is the device you own / use - do you know if Foursquare ought to be present?
Ir's an nuvi 2699. When I find businesses with it there's sometimes a Foursquare button, which I don't understand, but I don't see a Foursquare download on Garmin Express.
The page you reference does say, "The Foursquare information is updated with each map update."
Thanks. According to this link:
https://buy.garmin.com/en-GB/GB/p/138362
your device comes with Foursquare indeed.
Can you check if it's still there now? If I remember correctly you need to power up your nuvi and go to Settings > Map & Vehicle > MyMaps
Can you check that you can search for / find Starbucks etc. shops in your nuvi? They usually appear with Foursquare icon [F] next to it?
If so, then either they are turned off somewhere in the GUI, or - as SUSAMB suggested - they indeed might have been withdrawn.
It's really quite weird. There's a Foursquare icon on the main screen, and when selected it produces a list of businesses, including a church! Searching for Starbucks, it listed one shop under a Foursquare banner once, but generally didn't. When clicked, the Starbucks entries don't show Foursquare. Thanks.
