PC connection issue with Garmin express and watch

Hi, anyone is facing this issue after the last software update where the watch is not connecting with Garmin Express on your PC and it restarts automatically after 3-4 mins while it’s trying to connect to the PC in MTP mode ???

i tried with multiple windows laptop, same behaviour.

  • Similar problem, Garmin Express does not allow me to connect to my watch to change settings. However the watch is still able to upload workout data to the server and I can access it thru the website. I get a "Server Error" in Garmin Express.

    My Garmin X6 watch stopped being seen by Garmin Express some months ago. I purchased another cable with the same error. I have raised a support case and have been sent instructions to trouble shoot. Now, after reinstalling Garmin Express I can not add my three devices. I'm sure something is amiss with the server their end. Just stuck with this issue now.

  • I think this sever error problem can go away after you uninstall and re install the Garmin Express app, have you tried it already ??

    Yes, several times. Unless it's leaving a garmin express file behind.

    I've fixed it. I managed to find the original install file and is an older version. Looks like the newest version has a bug.

    I've managed to fix my issues. I found an old Garmin Express install and looks like the older version works. 7.5.0.0 might have a bug but older version works for now. Is a temp fix but at least can use my devices now.
