Garmin Express and Win10-Patch KB5003254 (.NET Framework)

Does anybody have some problems with Garmin Express 7.6.0.0 after Microsoft installed the Security Patch KB5003254 (Update for .NET Framework). on a Win10 system? With that Windows-Patch none of my Gramin devices (Fenix 6x Pro, Fenix 6s, Edge) is able to connect to Garmin Express. After de-installing the Sec-Patch everything just works fine, no problems. Until Windows installs that Sec-Patch again ....

Thanks for any hints!

Has anyone else run into a problem with GE and the KB5003254 .NET Framework update? I'm wondering if this problem is specific to GE 7.6 or if it also applies to GE 7.5.

Same *** here in France. I've tried with Version 7.5 & 7.6 but same issue. I think we are screwed with the last update from Windows 10 cause everything worked just fine a few days ago...

My workaround have been to disconnect the PC from the network (disable WIFI), uninstall the offending KB5003254, reboot the computer as required, and then go into the Advanced Updates setting and pause any updated for as long time as possble.

If you don't disconnect the PC from the Internet, it will go straight up and re-install the offending patch. Once you have paused the Windows updates, you can re-enabled your network and reinstall GE 7.6 (this may require a reboot as well).

Just installed an old version Garmin Express (7.4) - and everything works just fine .... :_)

Just installed this for my boss. Why on earth does it require .net 2 and 3.. What a disgrace. Maybe we should be blaming Garmin rather than Microsoft.

It doesn't. For Windows spec is this:

Windows 7 SP1 or newer, Microsoft .NET 4.7.2 (included)
1024 x 768 display, USB port and 1 GB RAM
High speed Internet access (Not for use with dial-up, mobile or satellite connections)
May require up to 20 GB free disk space

I watch the software request for .net 2&3 and my boss happily to just install with no thought, so if it doesn’t need it, why does it prompt and say the software mat not work properly

Where did you find an older version? I found that uninstalling the Windows update referenced above did not solve the problem. I rebooted a couple of times after uninstalling the update but still unable to get Garmin Express to connect to my watch.
