I daresay you refer to 2022.10 Europe release that popped up in my GE earlier today.
Yeah, its size - as reported by GE - is quite big. I am yet to update my nuvicam (and see if it requires SD card, so far I was lucky) as it's been less than two months since 2021.30 version has been released...
could not install on the PC, on nuvi ok, why? Error message from Garmin express. In Bascamp the message that the map is blocked!
could not install on my PC.Map is blocked!
Apologies if my initial response was a bit brusque!
Thanks for heads up and to confirm (and advise others): just finished installing the same mapset to my nuvicam - and without any misadventures either - but luckily it has ample internal space and I did not have to think about sourcing (yet another) SD card for these maps.
My maps were also installed to PC at the same time - as I customary do - and were unlocked properly, with the relevant codes added to UnlockCodes.ucx and additional GMA file placed in:
C:\Users\[CURRENT_USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\Garmin\Maps
This is a known issue with GE 7.6. Reports are that it has been pulled by Garmin and that 7.5 is the one that comes down now in a manual download.

Could you explain this process a bit more? I have not been able to get the map unlocked that I installed to the PC with GE 7.6.
Garmin maps - generally speaking and to provide rather simplistic response - are locked / protected with two levels of protection:
1. Unlock code (maps are locked to your device you use)
2. GMA file
Both of these can be found on your device - they're copied there along the maps themselves during installation. Unless I'm mistaken all you need to do is to find this matching (check dates of files) GMA file and copy it from the device to the above destination. And restart BaseCamp and see what it says.
