Express shows error when installing map to the computer

I've seen similar questions on this topic, but I didn't find anything that solved it.
So here goes. Windows 10 installation with Garmin Express 7.6.0.0., connected to it is a zumo 346.

The zumo has (was updated to) the City Navigator Europe NTU 2021.3 map (version 24.30). I want Express to install this on my computer so Basecamp can use it.
The installation runs for some time but then reports an error.

Now if you start Basecamp the map will be shown in the list of installed maps, but it is 'unverified' (whatever that means).
I have a lifetime updates on this map so Basecamp should have been able unlocked it.

The logging from Express (C:\ProgramData\Garmin\Logs\Express) shows a few errors, but I believe these are the key (the message is partly Dutch, but I guess it's readable enough)

I didn't include the whole stacktrace, but let me know if you want to see it.
I already tried several un/installs (including rebooting machine) and run Express as administrator. Also I contacted Gamin who provided me with an activation code for the map, but to no avail.

So two problems:

Error message when installing the map on the computer
Basecamp cannot/does not unlocked the maps.

My guess is that I should first solve the issue with the map installation, before tackling the map being 'unverified' in Basecamp.
Anyone any pointers?

PS: I also used several older versions of the map for which I actually exported the activation code from a previous installation (different machine, same Windows 10 version), same problem Basecamp 'thinks' they're unverified. This means the activation code is correct, but something else fails?

There is a known issue with GE 7.6.0.0 not unlocking maps that are installed to the PC from a zumoXT. More on that is in the discussion titled "Version 7.6.0.0 now available". I don't know whether the errors you report are associated with the unlock bug.

You're referring to the copying of a file from the Zumo to C:\ProgramData\Garmin\Maps folder? I don't have a zumo XT and on the internal storage of my zumo 346 is no System/Maps folder. Nor is a file called D6210130A.gma on the device. I'm assuming that's because I'm using a zumo 346.

I did a file search and found a gma file in the Map folder on the device, copied it to the C:\ProgramData\Garmin\Maps and now Basecamp shows a additional tab (Unlockable regions (system codes)) which tells me that 'Map not installed' for that region code.

I'll add this to the other thread and see what happens.

In the thread mentioned by Peobody is the advice to download 7.5.0.0. (https://www.garmin.com/nl-NL/software/express/windows/ => Dutch version). 7.6.0.0 has been pulled from the web.

Uninstall 7.6.0 (I didn't remove the data file) and install the 7.5.0. version and install the map. It now works!
