Segment fails to load - can't get ride of it - and Garmin Connect fails to sync

Both my Forerunner 645 and Edge 1030 fall to sync on Garmin Express. I get the following error "There was an error syncing with Garmin Connect". Both will devices show a window saying "Some files could not be sent to your device"; it's a live Strava segment that is labelled "Not Compatible". I have removed the star from this segment in Strava, but it continues to show this message. I can not find the segment in Garmin Connect or on the devices, I have no idea how to remove this not compatible segment from Garmin.

I would do the full reset. You will lose all data so it will be like day one out-of-the-box condition.

Menu key >> Setup >> System >> Restore Defaults >> Yes

Watch will restart…

I have the same problem with my Forerunner 610, for few days now I get "There was an error syncing with Garmin Connect".

Did you try a manual upload of that activity? How Do I Manually Upload an Activity I Recorded to Garmin Connect?

If you get any message other than Import Complete, then there is a problem with the file and it is likely corrupt. Attach it to this thread. We can take a look to see if it is repairable.

Zip the file, then in a reply post Insert >> Image/video/file >> click Upload >> browse for file >> OK.
Or upload the fit file to a file sharing service, such as OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc., then post a link to the file in your post.

Thanks! May I ask you how can I export my activity from forerunner 610 if garmix express doesn't let me sync? How do I import files straight from my device?

You can't, but hopefully the files have at least made it to your PC - Location of Activities After They Have Been Transferred From my ANT+ Device

Unfortunately these are not the files containing me latest acivities. So, in the end I can't sync my activities. I am wondering what to do - maybe hard reset of my forerunner will do the trick. However, I noiced that lately also other usesrs report similar problems, so maybe there is some problem with garmin express.

What would you recommend to do?

Watch will restart. If it comes up with the language selection, you'll know it has reset. After going through the initial setup, set it outside with a clear view of the sky for about 20 minutes, then sync with Garmin Express.
