This was asked a few days ago and supposedly fixed on Garmins end. It is not. Attempting to download maps for my nuvi. It starts slow, goes to about 4.5 Mb/S after 30 seconds and then drops off slowly from there. After 3 minutes it is down to 80 KB/s and dropping. Eventually it just hangs. This always happens. I stop the process, restart and it again goes quickly only to slow down and stop. There is nothing wrong with my PC setup or network. Movies download in no time. Software updates no problem. Garmin? It's a consistent series of starting Express, let it run, kill the process and start again. Eventually the maps get loaded.
Garmin needs to address this on their end. Or perhaps its an Express bug. But it is very annoying. I have tried to attach a video showing the process but that does not seem to work.
Speed has dropped to 30 Kb/S while writing this post.
