I have a Dashcam 55 that's currently running firmware 4.20 and looking to update to the latest 4.40.
- Using express, this goes to update then after disconnecting the device (as instructed) the cam just goes into an initial setup mode and never retain the config. In addition, firmware remains at 4.20.
- Tried VIRB but this no longer connects to VIRB
- Voice command no longer works (assume this was because of an incomplete firmware
- Tried reset
- Tried formatting SD
I wouldn't mind running an older firmware as long as the camera retains setting and actually starts recording like how it's supposed to. I bought this as a safety device and if it doesn't record at the start of the journey then it's no use. I have 6 garmin devices connected in my garmin connect and updating there isn't an issue.
