Latest Garmin Express will not open or uninstall

Hello, I have a problem with update Garmin Express v 7.0.2.0 to new v 7.2.2.0.. When I started update to a new versin GE, I couldn't come to the end, the update stoped and on screen I got message "The older version of GE cannot be removed". Than I started proces uninstall the GE, but I didn't be unable to uninstall the program. The uninstallation started and then stoped, stating that the uninstall was not successful. Anyone having this issue. Running WIN 10. Thanks for any advice.

    Same problem here.

    German error message when trying to update (both out of Garmin Express as by double-clicking the installer file): "Installation fehlgeschlagen. Garmin Express konnte nicht auf diesem Computer installiert werden. Wiederholen Sie die Installation." (translating to "Installation failed. Garmin Express could not be installed in this computer. Repeat the installation.").

    German error message when trying to uninstall via Windows' "App & Features": "Installation fehlgeschlagen. Deinstallation fehlgeschlagen" (translating to "Installation failed. Deinstallation failed.". Great error message, btw ;-) ).

    I'm on Garmin Express 7.2.1.0 - I had the same problem when trying to update last time (I believe that was 7.2.2.0, too), was then hoping for the next update, but the same problem with 7.3.0.0.

    Garmin, what's going on here? I'd really like to stay capable of updating my Forerunner 945 as well as my Vivosmart 4!

    Try a full uninstall as listed in this FAQ  support.garmin.com/.../

    Thanks for trying to help! However, this didn't work for me, since I did not find the services mentioned above (which might be because I'm on a German Windows, but I also haven't seen anything comparable - I'm an IT guy, so I'm able to do educated guesses :-) ).

    I then found these (German) instructions: support.garmin.com/.../

    They pointed to these MS instructions and tool: support.microsoft.com/.../behebt-probleme-die-eine-installation-oder-deinstallation-von-programmen-blockieren-cca7d1b6-65a9-3d98-426b-e9f927e1eb4d

    Running the MS program, I still couldn't find all programs mentioned in the Garmin instructions and thus decided to go for Garmin Express itself. After the automatic reboot (note: no warning! Save your documents before running that program) Garmin Express was still shown under "Programs & Features". I decided to install everything else Garmin related (in my case: Communicator Plugin, Communicator Plugin (x64), Garmin USB drivers) and then tried to install Garmin Express via its installer, which finally worked.

    Hope this helps somebody else...
