Garmin Express 7.2 breaks Forerunner 305

I can no longer get Garmin Express to add this device - it detects it but it will not allow me to click through and add its profile.

Previous to Express 7.2 I had a working setup.

Please Garmin look into this and correct this issue asap - I have tried all work around including uninstalling programs and drivers to no avail.

rnkrev, Garmin has fixed this issue with the latest version (7.2.2.0) that just came out today. I was able to add my Forerunner 205 & 305 without any issues. Suggest doing the update, then restarting…

But clicking on Add Device does nothing. This is not my daily driver, so it's not critical. I also tested with an old 310XT and 920XT and had no problem with those. I suggest you contact Garmin Support directly starting from the Garmin Support Center.

Just got done opening a case with support over chat. They had me send them screenshots and Garmin Express logs.

Garmin Support: could you please reply to the email i have sent with the requested information?

Garmin Support: once the engineering team has provided a fix, you will be updated. unfortunately there is not a current workaround, but we will find a resolution asap.

I contacted support via email and sent them a link to this thread. They sent me a link to reinstall the application on a Mac - go figure.

Let's hope that they follow through with a remedy sooner rather than later as I have no other running watch.

This is why I prefer the use of chat or phone call. Otherwise, you could spend weeks going back and forth over email.
