Any way to "sideload" maps?

Is there any way to bypass the GE downloading of maps? I have a Dezl 770LMTHD that I need to keep updated, but my WiFi can be described as flaky at best.

The problem is that my downloads are prone to timeouts, and GE does not have any type of Resume; it starts again from 0. If I could download the map file on another machine and transfer to my laptop running GE via memory stick (or directly to the GPS via SD card!), that would solve the problem.

Any way to do this?

Basically no. There are ways to transfer just a map but Express when doing a map update does far more than install just the map. If you have access to another PC, as you imply, simplest answer is to take your device to that.
