Garmin Express can't update to 7.0.2.0. on Windows 7 Ultimate.

I have tried multiple ALL failed install solutions mentioned on the website:

support.garmin.com/.../

I unblocked the install file.I ran it as an admin. Stopped firewalls and anti-virus programs. Stopped any background windows install tasks.

The message is the same "Install Failed. Try again."

I am currently syncing through an older version 6.7.0.0 which I launch disconnected from the net as to bypass the prompt to update.

How can I update to the latest (or at least a newer) Garmin Express version on Windows Ultimate 7 without getting the "Failed to Install" message?

Uninstall express and download directly from www.garmin.com/.../

I have tried the latest official download multiple times. The error's always the same, when I launch it. Installation Failed.

I download it directly to the desktop and launch it from there.if that makes any difference.

I am using Wi-Fi, is it worth trying to connect with a cable and try the installation then?

The latest version that actually installs, launches and connects to Garmin Connect albeit with the workaround is 6.7.0.0. Everything that starts with 7.0.0.0 crashes.

Must be an issue with your PC, I suggest you contact Product Support for help
