Garmin Express wont discover edge 200

Are you listening GARMIN? 

I have tried endless time to connect my Garmin Edge 200 to the Windows version of Garmin Express. 

I have uninstalled the app and started again from scratch several times. Yes, this is an old device, but I am getting back into my cycling - probably at the stage where I would look at a new cycle computer. Do you think I am likely to buy another GARMIN right now when the ride data from my last 3 rides is sitting in my computer and I have no way of getting it out? 

Also suggest you read the reviews on Google Play for the connect App - recent update means it's impossible to sync wearables. You business relies on data - consumer data within your devices. It is fairly essential that your consumers are able to sync and view their data. If they can't, you have no business left.
