GE continually copying old FW to Edge 1030 for installation

GE 7.1.4 on Windows 10, Edge 1030 with 10.22 beta FW installed. Since installing the beta, every time I connect my 1030 to the PC and run GE, GE tells me that the 1030 is running 10.20 FW (which is what it should show), but it copies GUPDATE.GCD to the /Garmin folder on the 1030, and when I disconnect the 1030 and it boots up, I get a message on the screen saying "The software on the device is newer than the software you are attempting to install. Installing the older software will erase all user data. Install the older software?" I tap X to prevent the installation, and that removes GUPDATE.GCD from the /Garmin folder. I don't get the message on subsequent boots until the next time I connect the 1030 to the PC and run GE again.

Never had this problem with previous betas and previous versions of GE. I would seem to me that it's a screwup with GE rather than with the 1030.
