Ant+ not being detected by Garmin Express in Windows 10

I changed my Garmin Connect password, and Garmin Express would no longer pull up my Forerunner 310XT - I kept getting a message about not being able to connect to Garmin's servers.  I uninstalled and reinstalled Garmin Express.  Now Garmin Express does not detect my ANT+.  I have it plugged into the same USB port as has worked for years, but also tried other USB ports.  Windows 10 sees the ANT+ just fine.  Garmin Express just searches for a while, doesn't detect it, and prompts me to search again.

What should I do?  This all worked fine until a few days ago.

    Same exact issue for me once I downloaded the latest Garmin Express version today.  Ant is not detected, but the computer sees the ANT stick just fine

    Turned out for me that I was misreading the instructions, and not having my turned-on Garmin watch sitting next to the computer with the ANT+.  Once I did that, it found the ANT+ and my watch just fine.  Chalk this one up to operator error.
