GE 7.1.4 failed to install/update (windows 10)

Have 6.9.1.0 installed, tried to update - failed, cannot uninstall old version now as well as install a new one.
From Garmin_Express_20200922124024.log file:

Have the same problem, would be great if this was more seamless to simply update. Hope anyone can suggest a fix.

This was a thread from 2 months ago, and refers to an out of date version of Express, so I will close it. If you're having problems with the current version please start a new thread. Thanks.
