Garmin Express doesn't offer 2021.10 to BMW Navigator VI and no Map Option to reinstall current map on device

Hi,

I'm new to the forums (and i don't know why I am a number instead of having my name)

I got this issue - My pc broke down so I got a new one. I installed BaseCamp and Garmin Express but Garmin Express refuses to show "Map Options" to let me reinstall the map currently on my device (BMW Navigator VI with 2020.30). I don't even get 2021.10 offered. I know for sure BMW Navigator VI comes with lifetime.

I do have the latest GE version 7.1.3.0

Please advice.

As it's a new computer I believe that if you haven't used Express to update the map then you won't get those options. You'll need to wait until the next map update.

Oke....

Well.. I know for sure 2021.10 is already released. I know that from a dutch motorcyle forum. I'm still on 2020.30. One guy posted a screenshot..I also had GE running at startup on my deceased computer and never had that update so I think something elso is going on :-(

I still should be able to reinstall a map on my Nav if it got corrupted somehow right ?

And as the Navigator 6 comes with lifetime update I'm kinda disappointed. There should be logfiles to be found why that magic buttons does not show - either on my pc (but I can't find it) or at "Garmin HQ"

Sorry, missed that rather relevant point in your first post.

What you could do to try to force an update would be to remove the map from your device, Express should then reinstall it. The other option is to clone your device and see if Express will install the map to a clone. To find out how to do that just Google Garmin cloned device.

Hello SUSSAMB

This is what is installed on my device:

CN Europe NTU - 2020.30 ALL South

CN Europe NTU - 2020.30 ALL North

CN Europe NTU - 2020.30 Basic 3D

Europe DEM

Still 40% free on storage.

I'm a bit worried about removing the maps from my device - It's still workening. I will google to figure out how to clone.
