Garmin servers are not available atm error message

Hi,

I just purchased a Forerunner 245 smart watch and I am very dissapointed. I successfully installed the new Garmin express 7.1.2 (Windows 10) and it recognizes my watch model. However when I try to log in to the app (Garmin Connect works fine so it is not an account issue) it shows me a notification that the serves are currently down and I can't log in. I tried it multiple times now I get this message:

"Error 1015Ray ID: 5c98bf4addb11cd0 • 2020-08-27 21:04:50 UTC

You are being rate limited

What happened?

The owner of this website (sso.garmin.com) has banned you temporarily from accessing this website.

Sure I was expecting this reply. The block is gone as I expected but the original issue still persists. I tried multiple PC-s, multiple networks and it still shows the servers are down error message:
