When I try to update maps I get server lost now I download only to the computer and it is working what would stop it loading to the unit

I have been trying to update maps and at 14 percent it gets error message server connection is lost

now I try to download it but only to the computer and it is working what would stop it loading onto the unit and can I update my unit directly from the computer ?

Which device do you have? If it's a recent one then while you could update the map from your PC that won't install all the other necessary files like junction view.

One thing you might try is updating a cloned device to see if it's a device issue www.poi-factory.com/.../39231
