I think OP is trying to put some positive spin on this event, i.e. probably very unexpected and not planned release.
Based on that event, one also wonders if 7.1.1.1 is not to become available shortly... ;-)
In either case the Release Notes remain outdated and for quite some time now either. Talk about professional approach!
(and yes, got it installed without any problems just now, can't see any difference...)
The problem with 7.1.0 was that it wouldn't "see" the dezl 770, RV 660, nuvicam, Monterra, and fleet 670. Garmin Express 7.1.1 was issued which supposedly corrected the problem allowing these Garmin devices to be seen which then allows GE to offer map and software updates. I own a fleet 670 which was not recognized by Garmin Express 7.1.0. Unfortunately, the new 7.1.1 still does not recognize my fleet 760 (even though my PC sees the 670 as a drive and shows all folders and files and even Garmin's POI Loader program works with the fleet 670). Older versions of Garmin Express (7.0.2 and earlier) did recognize the fleet 670 and offer map and software updates. But the Garmin Express 7.1.0 and now 7.1.1 still do not see the fleet 670 as a device so no updates can be done. I can uninstall 7.1.0 or 7.1.1 and install an older Garmin Express (7.0.2 works) and it will see and offer updates to the fleet 670.
