My Vivoactive 3 correctly sees my steps streak as 215 days, but my Connect Apps sees it as 13 days.

My Vivoactive 3 correctly sees my steps streak as 215 days, but my Connect Apps sees it as 13 days. When syncing with Garmin Express on the PC I get a red banner with "there was an error synching with Garmin Connect"  ... What *.fit file has the step goal data and can it be manually moved to the Garmin Express on the PC?

  • Some users (including me) report that July 23 step data was lost when the great Garmin Connect outage happen. This is why Garmin Connect lost your steps streak. I managed to salvage mine by recovering the July 23 files from the Garmin/Monitor folder from a backup I precautiously made (they weren't present on the watch anymore). So if you don't have a backup, then I'm affraid you're out of luck.

    Interestingly enough my data stopped tracking on July 22nd at 4pm.  The rest of that day is missing. July 23rd is fine as is every other day before and since. Makes no sense to me.
