It seems many users have issues with very slow download of new map releases, whether to PC only, Device only, or both. The download speed reduces to the point almost no more data is downloaded. It then takes days for the download to eventually complete. I have no problem with my internet connection and can download other large files from any source without issue. Surely it would make more sense if the download process utilised a downloadable .exe zip file so that minimum data was transferred and all the processing was done on the local PC. This is the way most of the rest of the 'software world' works, why not Garmin?
