Garmin Express does not offer "Install map to computer" option

I have problems installing the map from my Zumo 595LM to the PC with Garmin Express. The map I want to install is City Navigator Europe NTU 2020.30. In Garmin express, there simply is no option to install the map on PC.

When using Basecamp, it seems the map is already installed on the PC but it only appears when I connect the Zumo and it is split in 2 maps (North and South, see screen below), which makes calculation of routes impossible when creating a route through both regions, as it is not possible to select both of them at the same time in Basecamp. If I select the map for Europe North, then Europe South only uses the base map and vice versa. As far as I am aware, the "install to PC" option in Garmin Express should create a single map on the PC (out from the 2 on the Zumo) to be used with Basecamp.

I tried to uninstall the map via Control panel to see if the "Install to PC" option would then be available but the map is not present among the installed apps. Also, there are no maps in the "C:\ProgramData\Garmin\Maps" folder.

I followed that guide but unfortunately, the "install map to computer" option is completely missing in Garmin Express. Please see the screenshot I attached.

Is this Zumo 595LM Travel Edition perhaps?

If so, then it might not be possible to install these maps on PC - see the last post here:

Yes it indeed is the Travel Edition. Thank you for explaining that, was driving me crazy!

However, how is it possible to create routes in BaseCamp with the travel edition since the map can not be installed on PC? As I explained, the map that I can use when I connect the Zumo to the PC is split in 2 separate maps, of which only one can be active at a time. So if I try to make a route that goes through both maps (north and south) it does not calculate properly.

Unfortunately BC can only use one map at a time. You would need to calculate routes that cross the boundary separately.

Thank you for confirming this.

I find it pretty incredible from Garmin to make such limitations for a 600€ device, especially considering it is a motorcycle device and it is somehow logical that more complex routes will be created in Basecamp.

Also, they did not specify anywhere (or at least I did not find this info) this limitation of the Travel edition.
