Garmin Downloads in 2020 are inexcusably slow. Netflix and other companies have this figured out. Why can't Garmin?

We've tried multiple computers on multiple internet networks using multiple SD card types. The download speed problem is 100% on Garmin's end. Garmin needs to hire new network engineers. Please!

Well it certainly isn't. I updated 2 devices, and maps on 2 PCs, with the newly released EU map in under an hour yesterday. Whatever issue you're having is almost certainly at your end.

Agreed - exactly the same here.

Downloading of the source map files itself (~10GB, I reckon) took less than 30 minutes in my case (80Mb/s link, FTTC) - which is exactly as expected.
