Garmin Connect on windows seems to force me to have my device connected during the download of an update (e.g. a map update, where the download takes hours). Is this really true? If so, why can't the software download all necessary data without the device being connected and only asks me to connect my device for installing? If this is not true, how can I download the updates without keeping my device connected?
Garmin Connect already knows which updates my device needs because I synced my device with it - now I just want to download everything and when the download is finished I want to connect my device again and just install the updates...
