Garmin express 7.0 wont launch

updated to v7.0 and now trhe express wont launch.

truely shocking.

does anyone have any advice before i change brands?

Seen numerous reports saying folks installed without issue. Try uninstalling then reinstalling from the Garmin Express web page.

I have the same problem... uninstalling, cleaning up PC etc, nothing helps...

Do a full uninstall as covered here

If you follow that exactly and it still doesn't work try using the Microsoft Utility to completely uninstall Garmin Express.

When uninstalling Garmin Express select as necessary:

Garmin Express
Garmin Express Tray
Elevated Installer
Garmin Update Services (skip if not present)
ANT Drivers Installer x64

Then install Garmin Express directly from http://download.garmin.com/omt/express/B/GarminExpressInstaller.exe

only ANT Drivers Installer x64 was listed in the troubleshooter. It said it fixed that, so I reinstalled garmin express from your link but it still won't load. :^( I've reinstalled it several times today :^( I'll try again tomorrow.

I uninstalled [again!] and checked with the troubleshooter which didn't list any of your listed things. I'm now reinstalling from your link and it is taking a long time. it seems to be stuck at 'installing vc_redist.x86.exe'

it eventually installed and now works. In fact if seems to launch quicker than v5 did which often took several goes to launch.
