Can I clean the img files on my PC?

Hi,

I did a search for big files on my small C partition and realized that there are 17 GB of Garmin map files (img) in ProgramData.

Can I delete those files or maybe the entire directory? How can I tell Garmin Express that it shall keep that clean?

Yes, although it should be obvious which maps they are and may be worth keeping the most recent one.

Ok, I deleted them all. But why doesn't do this job Garmin Express for me instead of wasting my C-partition? Why can't I set an alternative directory to save space on my C partition?

For those with multiple devices it's useful to have the files remain, just something to remember to do I guess, though would help if there was an option given. You could suggest it all here https://www.garmin.com/en-US/forms/ideas/
