Garmin Express requires too much space on c-drive

I have a Nuvi 1340. I cannot use Garmin Express to update it because my Windows 10 notebook doesn't have enough space on the c-drive. Is there any other software available? I have plenty of space on other drives, but Garmin Express will only use the c-drive.

Just clear some space on your c drive by moving some to your 'other drives'

Not possible, unfortunately, due to Microsoft's new "reserved storage", which can't be turned off. There isn't enough movable stuff to meet the Garmin Express requirement.

I'm surprised your storage is that restricted, this may help somewhat but you still need free space on your C drive, perhaps you could use someone else's PC?

I found that every time I installed a mapo update to my GPS, it left a copy on my hard drive. On my PC, it saves it in C:\ProgramData\\CoreService\Downloads\Map. At this moment, my PC has 3 Map versions saved 2020.20, 202.30. and 2021.10.

All told, it consumes 19,336.4 MB on my PC. Check if you are in a similar situation.

In fact, those map versions can be deleted without harming your system..
