I also have the same problem. The garmin is visible as a disc on the computer and I can read and write files to it also it connects to my phona and can sync, but not garmin express, so updates of maps is not possible! please somebody help.

  • If it connects to your phone and syncs what exactly is the issue you're having?

it does not connect to garmin express on my computer. So i cannot update maps.

I can see it as a drive in my computer so there is a connection but garmin connect cannot find it

  • I have same issue. PC doesn't recognize it correctly, shows Unknown Device and can't sync to Express. If I power it down, hold the activity start/stop button, then plug in the cable it is recognized until I let go of the button. That's ok if I only need to connect for a minute or so, but a map update is way too long to hold the button.

I've used other Garmin devices with this computer, no issues. Also my Fenix 6Xpro works fine with express on my work computer, so I'm at a loss.
