My Garmin express does not detect my fenix5x plus

Can anyone help me to resolve the connectivity problem which I have since I updated my system to Windows Version 10.0.18362 Build 18362.

With version 1607 until last week all was ok and now tried everything including installing the latest Garmin express version. Connecting my watch device with GE, G Express does not detect my watch ever since I reinstalled my PC. I tried varies solutions and no success. I use solely wired connection to the internet and I tried my old forerunner 920xt to connect and was not a problem to update it except my fenix5x plus.

I'd appreciate if anyone could help me with it. Thank you Peter

Have you installed the latest version of Express? Have you deleted your 5x from Express then tried to re-add it?

I have never had problems with Garmin Express, to be honest with you. Since I reset my PC, I face this problem. However, I have the forerunner 920xt ,and I had no problem to add and update it. What you suggest I tried it several times and nothing.

If you read my very first message, you can find there my answer: I used a wired connection, no a wifi, and I am always connected to internet. I think it has nothing to do with my Garmin Express, neither with watch only the USB cable. I can trouble-less connect my forerunner 920xt but not fenix5x plus. Therefore I must check it on another PC or buy a new cable.

Almost a year ago I ran into a problem where Garmin Express for Windows stopped recognizing my 5X Plus. I also had the problem of Garmin Express crashing repeatedly. Below is a link to a post describing the solution I finally used. (Solution is in my second long post on this thread.) My problem seemed to be triggered by a particular Garmin Express update, and the solution was to remove files that had been left by previous versions of Garmin Express. Good luck with it! It was certainly annoying when I had that problem!
