Forerunner 310xt won't sync in Garmin Express

I do not use an ANT stick with this watch. I've been away from training for a while, and am wanting to get back in the groove. I tried syncing my most recent workout, and garmin express keeps looking for an ANT stick. When I cancel the search, it cancels my sync request... how do I sync this older watch?

I'm not sure I understand. You are trying to sync the watch WITHOUT an ANT stick? That's a no-go. The ANT stick is the only way to sync the FR310XT.

It says you can pair it via usb cable?

Not the 310XT. The 310XT usb cable is for charging only (look at the connector on the watch - two pins only).
