GE reports 5 updates available

If I click on install GE runs for about 2 hours. GE states it should take 18 minutes. There are still 5 updates to install. If I close GE and restart I still get the same message. The watch is an S20 that I have had for about a week. None of dats from golf roun ds is uploaded to Garmin Connect. Not sure if this is related.

I've moved a step forward. It now trys to install the updates. One update is Golf Clubs. It reports that this is not compatible and stops. So none of the map updates take place. The support page has now appeared after clicking it several times. I'm not sure that any of the suggestions will overcome the non-compatible update ?

I am now thinking of sending the watch back for a refund. The maps are out of date and unusable. I've tried the update a dozen times and it fails because of the error about updating golf clubs. Tried re-installing Express as suggested below. No help at all.

Decided to give it one more try. Did the same as before. GE didn't try to update the clubs this time but reported that it had updated the courses. Will try it out next time I play to see if it has.
