Garmin Safety Cameras Renewal

I have been trying to renew my UK Safety Camera subscription using Express 6.18.0.0 for several days, but when I click the 'Yes, Activate' button I always get the message:

We are unable to activate your purchase at this time.

The Server encountered a temporary error and we could not complete your request. Try again later.

Is this a common (non-temporary) problem, or am I doing something wrong - I have not yet actually confirmed the purchase, so it seems strange to be trying to 'Activate' it!

I seem to remember it was easy last year!

Call Garmin, there is a freephone number in UK

Not easy atm, as I am travelling. If it has not worked by when I get home later next week I will ring.

Now home, and still the same problem with Express.

I would ring the freephone number ... but I cannot find it anywhere!

The web page https://support.garmin.com/en-GB/ just shows 3 pulsing blue circles for me - and I have tried it many times.

I seem to have found a way through this mire.

The support web page seems not to work on the latest Firefox ... but does on Explorer (which I never normally use). Although I did not manage to find the freephone number, I did find description of how to subscribe to Safety Cameras. This included a 'sign in' page, which I had not seen - so I went back to Express. That appeared to be signed in ... but after going round a different route to the purchase, and clicking on 'Buy Again' rather than 'Yes, Activate' I saw the sign in page. After that all proceeded normally.

I hope my misfortunes are some help to others.

Number is 0808 238 0000 for anyone else visiting this thread, which I'll now close as it's been resolved.
