I have download updates and rebooted Driveluxe 50 several times, and after each time Express shows me the same 6 updates are still needed, as if they did not install, but no error.

First time using both the Driveluxe 50 and Express. Took me quite a while to determine something was awry! Finally, I see that each time I download then reboot the device, Express says there is another update to install. When I look at the "details" I see the same 6 updates available... every time. There are no errors. Looks like it is properly working. What's going on?

    • Not sure. Try deleting GarminDevice.xml in the Garmin folder on your device as it may not have updated correctly then reboot your device which will recreate that file based on what's installed on your device, then check with Express again

Interestingly enough, I found and deleted that .xml file, disconnected, rebooted device, then hooked up to Garmin Express again and it showed an update available, so I selected Install. It installed one, single update and then I was then notified that I was "up to date"! I only assume I am. I don't quite get it, but thanks!

  • Sometimes the XML file gets truncated - if you delete it and restart, it gets recreated properly. In your case with one update to do.
