Error message displayed by Garmin Express "We are having a problem communicating with our servers." Is this a general error or just my PC?
I am getting the same error. Express can check to update itself and says its up to date (ver. 6.14.2.0). I have gone threw the troubleshooting (uninstall, reinstall, temporary shut off firewall, check for proxy settings.) and nothing seems to be working. I even waited 24 hrs to try again and still nothing. Very frustrating.
There are a couple of other potential fixes in addition to what's been posted. On my older devices, you should update using the Garmin USB cable. If' you're using some random cable, it may not be compatible and you'll get the error. The second "fix" is to simply leave your Garmin Express open with you device plugged in. Make sure that top bar shows it's connected. I find that it will eventually connect to the server on its own. It may take a while, but somehow the server eventually sees it.
