Synchronize Vivosmart 4 on Bluetooth on Windows 10?

Hi,

Is it possible to synchronise the Vivosmart 4 activity tracker with Garmin Express on Bluetooth in Windows 10?

The device is paired ok on Bluetooth on Windows (the windows bluetooth parameter says 'Coupled').  But the Garmin Express searches for the device.

The sync works ok on USB, but it is cumbersome.

  • I conclude it is impossible to synchronize vivosmart 4 on bluetooth on Windows 10 on PC.

In the Microsoft store there is an app called Garmin Connect Mobile, which is claimed to work on Windows 10 too, in addition to Android and iOS.

The configuration requirements are: Windows 10 Mobile 10586.0 or upper, or Windows 10 version 10586.0 or upper.

I have Windows 10 Professional Version 1809, Operating System version 17763.475, as shown in "System Information".

I guess the 1809 number is irrelevant here, and the 17763.475 is relevant.  So I think I have the right configuration.

However, the application Garmin Connect Mobile does not want to install.  When I click on "Download" it points me to the configuration requirements.

I also have the Garmin Express installed.  But it is not the Garmin Express that I want to use.  I want to use Garmin Connect Mobile.  Because that offers wireless synchronisation.

If this Garmin Connect Mobile does not work on Windows 10 then I am forced into acquiring an Android device.

The claim that Garmin Connect Mobile works on Windows 10 may be incorrect.

I can synch to my android, but can not do so using Windows 10,  This drives me crazy!

For me, a year later, the same thing. Since the GARMIN app on the iPhone is a battery eater, I would rather synchronize wirelessly on the PC - no chance. Sometimes I hate GARMIN!

  • Maybe the recent update of Windows 10 (version '2004'?) is more compatible with Gamrin's bluetooth on vivosmart 4 than the Windows 10 of one year ago?

Maybe one can help Garmin by explaining by comparison what is the behaviour we expect.

Which other brand's wrist tracker synchronizes directly with Windows 10 without needing Android or iPhone?
