Nuvi 2595 no room for maps

I used Garmin Express to download the 2020 maps to my PC. When I use Mapinstall to download the maps to the unit it shows the 2019 maps already installed at 2.76 GB checked and greyed out and the 2020 maps at 2.79 GB. It also shows 2.76 GB used with 1.38 GB free at the bottom of the window. That 2.76 GB used are the 2019 maps.But it says I don't have enough room for the 2020 maps.
So why won't it let me uncheck the 2019 maps? Why won't it overwrite them?
File Explorer on the PC also shows the same amount of used and free space but it doesn't show the map file at all. I should be able to delete the 2019 map file on the PC to make room for the 2020 map file. Why can't I find it?

You really shouldn't be using MapInstall at all, since it only transfers maps and not all the other files your nuvi needs. Run Express and update your nuvi from Express.
