Unable to find Forerunner 301

My Forerunner 301 worked fine with Garmin Express until I upgraded my computer and reinstalled Windows 10.

I have tried steps of "My Garmin Fitness Device is not Detected by Garmin Express". "Steps to Disable USB Selective Suspend on a Windows Computer" to no avail.
Device Manager shows it as unknown device.
Could anyone offer to tip on how to diagnose this? ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1460891.png

I think some very old garmin devices needed dedicated garmin usb drivers. Did you reinstall those after reinstalling windows?

Thank you for the tip. That is exactly what I was trying to do. I initially thought installing GE would do it. Then I searched "garmin forerunner 301 usb driver" and landed on page "Forerunner 301 software version 3.20", and ran the installed updater, but it could not find the device. Where can I find the old USB driver for Forerunner 301?

The "Forerunner 301 software version 3.20" is a firmware for the watch itself, and does not contain any windows drivers.

I don't know, however, if it will work in Windows 10.
