New Fenix 5x+ Not recognized by Windows 10

Hello everyone
I just got a new F5X+ and I can't use GE in 3 different PC with a different windows version (HOME/PRO/ENTERPRISE). Nothing!
Only charging and in windows saying "Unknown Device"

I have tried everything that I found on the internet and forums but I can't
I will return to check if it is a defective unit.

Any help will be greatly appreciated
  • Assumed you meant to post this in the Garmin Express - PC forum, so I moved it. Garmin Connect Mobile is the application used on Smartphones. Garmin Connect is the web site https://connect.garmin.com. Garmin Express is the interface and syncing tool to communicate between your PC and device.

    Have to ask. Have you downloaded and installed Garmin Express? https://www.garmin.com/en-US/software/express.
    If you could, please provide any error messages you are seeing from Garmin Express. I know you said "Unknown Device," but want to know if that is coming from the computer or from within Garmin Express.

    1. Yes, the issue is with Garmin Express in a Windows PC
    2. I downloaded GE 3 times from Garmin, uninstall and re-install, I even format a test PC and installed W10PRO-N -- nothing
    3. Garmin doesn't detect the F5x+, Windows shows as "Unknown Device" as no driver installed
    4. it is not the PC, I have a Suunto 9 Baro and it works flawlessly
    5. I have tried in 3 different PCs no luck

    I will return it tomorrow and try a new F5x+
