Garmin GPSmap 62s System Sofware Missing

Hi, every time I turn on my device it says "system software missing". I tried updating it with the "WebUpdater". The program recognizes my device but when it tries to update a message pops up saying "The update file is corrupted." Is there any way of updating my device and making it functional again. Thanks in advance.

WebUpdater is an older program, so I suggest you try Express and post back if you're still having issues.

Thanks for help. Garimin express made device after update (obviously fail update) unusable. Now he does not even see the device..

With a corrupted update file and Express not helping you need to call Product Support for help, you may even need to have your device replaced.

The first symptom malfunction was when pressed MARK then popup massage "database error" . Hm, I think it is older than 2 years. then it's for trash .

So today I finde some tool RGN tool(gcd to rgn) and Updater. Find also firmware form 2015 and successfully woke up device. But problem with database error is still there .when I press MARK.
Have also 2 partition on forced mass storage mode ? Is it OK ? . Garmin Express aplication says Garmin Express does not support this device please use Garmin Map Updater.
Very strange for me? confusion... thanks

If your computer can now see your device and IF the problem is a corrupted update file (as you posted earlier) then remove it, the file will be in the Garmin folder and named gupdate.gcd

If you can do that see what happens then.

So, there is no file in internal memory.. device stuck in version 630 . version 670, 680 end last 700 dont pass with win Updater.
Garimin Express and Garmin Map Updater has fail. webupdater also...

Question: what file system is internal memory gpsmap 62s FAT or FAT32 ?
I put new map in intenal memory "gmapsupp" in folder Garmin but is not visible in map selection .

FYi - Mass storage works only as forced with arrow up / power.

You can get the update files from here http://www.gawisp.com/perry/gpsmap62_64_78/

Rename it gupdate.gcd and place it in the Garmin folder, then reboot your device.

File structure is FAT32, map should be named gmapprom.img

Thanks!! works! for the first time device is on 700 software. But one problem remained on database error when MARK press ..
end not important how to add other language..

Now it's working WebUpdater should offer language updates ... can't help with the error on Mark though :(
