Use drive other than C:\

The maps on my Edge Touring need updating. My bare bones PC has a very small C drive and there's not enough space to download them. I have just over 1.5 terabytes free on an external drive which I think should just about be enough space. Is there a way of telling Garmin Express to use another drive? I'm sure I've managed to do this in the past but I can't seem to find the option now.

You can set the download folder when you run Express to download a map.

Not for the temporary download, though - you're looking at few GB of data that has to be dumped onto \ProgramData\Garmin\CoreService\Download on your system drive unfortunately.

Worth checking what's there prior to operation and removing accordingly.

Cheers chaps. In the end I borrowed my son's laptop. It's weird that my kids have better specced computers than me.

Good rant. Once it accepted that there was enough space on the laptop's C drive it then told me that the SD card in the device wasn't big enough. After replacing that there wasn't any more errors but it still took another 4 hours or so to complete. I suspect that I'm not going to update it again in a hurry.
