Laptop doesn't detect Fenix5 - will recharge, but doesn't see it as a drive

Hi there. I'm running GE 6.8.1.0, but when I plug my fenix 5 into my laptop (uses Windows 10), the laptop doesn't recognize the fenix5 as a mass storage device. It recharges it, but Garmin Express doesn't detect the watch. How can I fix this? (My laptop detects other USB sticks and my mobile phone as separate drives, but no my fenix 5 no longer shows up as a separate drive). Can anyone help please? thank you.

I have the same problem at 5X. to win 10 just recharges. I've tried everything. Help me.

Check the cable, are you using an original Garmin cable? You need a data cable, many just provide power only.

I tried all the options. The watch is out of warranty. The cable is functional. I tried other / 2pcs / garmin 5x connection with pc is ok. One has a soft 11.00 the other 14.20. I have 15.20.

Contacts are ok. Also internal contacts in the device that connect the motherboard

Cabel is original and data cabel only.
