How to permanently remove Garmin Widgets from reappearing

Former Member
Yes I am a noob :)

Only thing I want is to keep the Widgets I have choosen in a fixed order.
Garmin's widgets keep popping up in the watches Widget list after activities.
Updating firmware also manages to rearrange the order of this Widget list on the watch.

Anything I can do to prevent this mess.
  • Same issue here. This problem appeared I think about 2 months ago. My guess is you need to plug in your 935 and use Garmin express to uninstall so reversing the installation process.

    ill probably try tonite
  • No need to guess. There's a thread on this if you do a bit of searching.

emailed Garmin Support and Forerunner beta team

Good luck! I reported this a while back (I think it was beta 8.99 about a month and a half ago) . Sent Garmin my info/folder and never heard back. Same problem, same time with some Fenix watches and no help there either after they reported it. Support says "we have no reports about this". I guess we're all lying.

three months ago, Garmin shame on you

I didn't realize it was that long ago. Since then, others have posted in different threads with both the 935 and Fenix watches and said they've also contacted Garmin. What pisses me off to no end is support claims this is the "first time they've heard of this issue and there are no other reports" any time I email or call them. Well, I sent them my Garmin folder months ago and haven't heard a thing back. What would be the point of other's lying when they say they contacted support too? Hey support! If you're reading this just say you can't figure out what the problem is and stop lying to your customers. There's an issue. It has been reported to you months ago. If you can't figure it out, just say so. I'd rather hear that then the nonsense your telling us. It's beyond the point of being annoying.

This nonsense has been going on for nearly 4 months now. This morning I called support and spoke with a gentleman named Ken. He appeared genuinely concerned about my (this) issue and said he was personally taking it head on. I sent him two copies of my Garmin folder. One with everything ordered correctly and the second immediately following an Express sync that rearranges things. Hopefully, having the two folders will shed some light on what's going on and a fix will come quickly.
