Bought a new Montana 680t a few days ago. Installed Express for the first time. Ran fine, installed Street maps OK. Purchased Bike maps, tried to install, got message could not run on computer. Tried to uninstall, failed. Reset computer, able to uninstall.
Tried to re-install, failed. Went through steps on website (killed process indicated, disabled virus scanner), no go. Called Garmin Support, tried a few things.
The opened another ticket for research, but support person said he's seen this before, and usually it is something with the computer that they can't solve. Suggested another computer.
I'm looking at returning the Montana and looking for another brand of GPS, probably for good, since Garmin now requires Express for map installation.
Computer is an I7 CPU, 16 Gig RAM, 1 Terabyte HD, Windows 10 Pro, latest update.
Anyone have any ideas?
