Safety Camera Install Issue - Garmin Dash Cam 55

Hi all,

I'm looking for some advice please. On the weekend I purchased a Garmin dash cam 55 and this evening plugged it into Garmin Express for the first time.

The software updated to 3.70 with no issues. I then proceeded to purchase the Cyclops Safety Cameras Europe subscription and had an email confirming purchase.

When clicking on "Tools & Content" followed by "Purchased" I can see two lines:

1. Cyclops Safety Cameras Europe (with "Ready to Activate" underneath it)
2. Cyclops Safety Cameras Europe (this one with nothing underneath it).

I'm a bit confused which is the one I've purchased, and anyway when I click download on either of them I always have a "There was an error installing the content" warning.

I'm finding this very frustrating, the big plus to this camera over the competition was having Cyclops built in.

Does anyone know if this is a common issue please? If the install works, would I expect it to show updates on the home section of GE? Would the "Ready to Activate" disappear?

Thanks very much,

Sam

I had a very similar issue with my Avtex Tourer One - this unit comes with Safety Camera Updates built in and therefore I did not need to purchase the update subscription. After about two months of emails Garmin support realised the issue and refunded my payment. Not sure if the 55 has the update service included but my 65 keeps updating at the same time as the Tourer one and I haven't paid any subscription fees.
